Why choose golfskispain to arrange your golf break, whether for just 2 people, groups, societies and Pro groups?
Firstly, we talk to you - no automated telephone systems here, apart from voicemail -and we will call you
back. Funnily enough, we love to talk about golf!
Secondly, we specialise in golf in Spain, and have personal experience of most of the courses, and many of the hotels.
Thirdly, your holiday- golf, hotel, car hire or transfers and budget is tailor-made to your requirements.
And most importantly, any service we provide is fully finacially protected through the Travel Trust Association (U1439).
Whilst we can arrange your complete package, we also reserve green fees, car hire and hotels separately. Even if you frequently travel to or live in Spain, we can probably save you money on green fees.
Spain is still the foremost region for golf in mainland Europe,
not just for the superb golf, but for everything else as well for a great holiday.
We offer over 100 golf courses and many hotels of all standards and prices in Spain.
Andalucia (including the 'Costa del Golf') has one of the highest concentrations of courses anywhere and most are usually in great condition. Most famous is Valderrama, but there are many great courses besides. Many of our customers know the area well and know which courses they wish to play, but for those who have limited experience of the area, or have never been to Andalucia before, we are only too happy to discuss the options and make recommendations accordingly.
Similarly, with accommodation, we will discuss with you where you would like to stay - near to the night-life or somewhere quiet, somewhere to just lay your head or luxury and be pampered! We contract directly with hotels or through our Spanish tour operator colleagues based in Torremolinos, who are one of the oldest travel businesses on the Costa del Sol. If you require apartments, this can be organised either by ourselves via our colleagues in Spain.
Car hire is also arranged either through local family-run companies on the Costa del Sol or the standard car rental companies with suitable vehicles supplied accordingly. By using the local companies you are met directly at 'arrivals' and do not have to queue for your car - it is waiting for you, which saves time and gives you a point of contact during your stay should you have any problems. You also start with a full tank of fuel and return full - so you only pay for fuel actually used. This means that sometimes the nett cost is very similar to the nominally cheaper large companies.
Murcia used to be known only for La Manga (still possibly the best golf resort in Spain) but now has many new courses, including the Nicklaus Design courses built by Polaris World.
Alicante/Valencia region (Costa Blanca) is another expanding region for golf. The outstanding course is El Saler, but recent additions to the region include Las Colinas de Campoamor and Font del Llop, both highly rated. Alongside Murcia, now excellent for golf holidays.
Catalunya (Costa Brava and Costa Dourada) offers easy access into Barcelona, Reus or Girona airports. Whilst there may not be so many courses, what there are are some of the best in Spain. PGA Catalunya is now rated as THE best in Spain and we can highly recommend Emporda (both courses) and Platja de Pals.
Tenerife has 7 excellent courses to choose from plus one more on La Gomera, 40 minutes away by fast ferry. But the big plus with Tenerife is the climate, particularly in the winter months where the temperature is still over 20 degrees, and little rain in the south part of the island, which just happens to be where most of the courses are! A vast choice of hotels, including some of the best to be found after a short-haul flight. Unless you wish to explore the island, a car is not necessary as the taxi prices to and from the airport or the golf courses are very reasonable. The courses are usually in excellent condition and most have held European PGA or LET Tour events, so offer a good test as well.
Gran Canaria - a choice of 7 great courses with a special price for 5 rounds (Gran Canaria Golf Pass), only available from IAGTO members such as ourselves. The Golf Pass can be 5 rounds on 1 course or 1 round on 5 courses or any combination. With the same great climate as Tenerife, the Canaries are the best destination for winter golf.
Mallorca now has over 20 courses to choose from, a
vast range of accommodation and is very well supplied with
flights. At the moment we combine with a local groundhandler,
so you can be assured of being looked after.
For all destinations, the only part of your holiday we do
not cover is the flight. Listed below are the main airports and destinations:
