As Host for many years to the Volvo Masters and of course the Ryder Cup, Valderrama is one of the finest golf courses in Europe.

Designed by Robert Trent Jones and lovingly attended by owner Jaime Ortiz Patiño, this is one of the continent´s toughest challenges. The fairways are fairly flat and tree-lined, with elevated greens well protected by bunkers. The 4th hole, a par five of spectacular beauty, ends on a raised green, next to a cascade of water on its way to the greenside lake. The famous par five 17th features a green with bunkers behind, and slopes forwards to an emerald lake, and is the favourite of spectators and the hatred of championship players.

Early booking is recommended, and although expensive, it is also extremely popular. If you intend to play, make it a day to enjoy the whole Valderrama experience. Handicaps required ladies 32, men 24. Once you have decided to play Valderrama, be aware of the stringent cancellation policy.
