Golf El Puerto |
Golf El Puerto is situated just outside El Puerto de Santa Maria on the road to Sanlucar (close to Cadiz and Jerez), and is recently opened. Quite a long course, designed by Manuel Pinero, the former Spanish Ryder Cup player, Golf El Puerto is a good test of golf. As it matures, it will be a charming course with a personality of it's own. The course is suitable for all players, without blind spots, with greens protected by lakes, rivers, tree groupings and very large bunkers which are filled with white crushed marble, and not so easy to extricate one-self from on a wet day! Good use has been made of the natural terrain with modern irrigation and drainage systems installed. The greens are exceptional, and up to professional tour standard. In due course a hotel complex will be built next to the course.
