Golf del Sur Golf Course

Golf del Sur, opened in 1987, is situated close to Tenerife South airport and was designed by Pepe Gancedo and Manual Pinero. The Links and North courses were remodelled in 2005/6.

The course conforms to the natural landscape with natural hazards - there is a spectacular contrast between the water hazards, greenside bunkers filled with black volcanic sand (which is wonderfully consistent to play out of), sea views and amazing ravines.

The Links course is considered the most technical, with well-placed bunkers, undulating fairways and greens. The South course is long, with many natural hazards such ravines full of cactus and the North course is the most varied - the large ravine running alonside the par5 3rd and par4 4th is frightening.....!

Several European Tour and Ladies European Tour events have been held at Golf del Sur.
