Calanova

Km.199 off the N340 at La Cala de Mijas.

Situated in the 'New' Golf Valley that comprises La Cala and Santana, Calanova is a new course, opened to the public on May 1st 2006. The basic course design is by Manuel Pinero, and by using elevated tees, you can see all the landing areas for your drives. Despite being in hilly terrain, the fairways themselves do not have excessive gradients - the steep parts are between green and tee, so we would recommend buggies.

Despite being a brand new course, it is eminently playable now and a good test - give the course a couple of years to mature (with new trees being planted) it will be a good test of golf for players of all abilities.
