Alcaidesa Links & Alcaidesa Heathlands
Alcaidesa Links Golf Club has been called the only links course in Spain, designed by Peter Alliss (the well known former golf professional and popular BBC Golf commentator) and Clive Clark, but it isn't really a links course although it does run along the coast. The course affords magnificent views over the Mediterranean to Gibraltar. The 4th tee is a classic 'postcard' view.
The new Heathlands course is is maturing well after a few years and offers a different challenge. The new Clubhouse is one of the best in the area.
Alcaidesa is unlike any other in the area, set in the lovely rolling countryside of the western Costa del Sol, with breathtaking views across the straights of Gibraltar to Morocco’s Atlas mountains beyond. Alcaidesa golf course meanders along the edge of the Mediterranean with four beachside holes. The Spanish PGA have held several tournaments here, and if you enjoy a links course it is well worth playing this one.
